  1. New: How 20 big chains round cash totals

We added a guide to the penny and cash-rounding policies of 19 national chains and the U.S. Postal Service, including McDonald's, Wendy's, Publix, Kroger, Target, Aldi, Casey's and Kwik Trip. Each page says whether the policy comes from the company itself or from news reports, and how your state's law applies. Chains with no published policy, such as Walmart, Costco and Starbucks, are listed separately.

  2. Penny Rounding Laws launches with a calculator and 18 state guides

The site launched with a cash rounding calculator that applies each state's rule, a tracker of every state's law or pending bill, a store sign generator, and guides to sales tax, SNAP/EBT refunds and the federal Common Cents Act, which has passed Congress but has not been signed.
